[HOWTO] Play/Share Minecraft with friends without buying in Ubuntu 16.04

Me and my friends were trying to play some Minecraft on our free time, but the problem is that we all didn’t had Minecraft bought. Two of us had it bought but other four still wanted to play. So, I have to look for some sort of solution so everyone can enjoy the game. We mostly work on Ubuntu so all had same platform. This version of solution shall work on Windows and MacOS. Windows version of Minecraft were easily available to download but hard to find on other platforms.

At first, I tried to copy the working version from my PC to friend’s. On Ubuntu the folder of working copy is available on ~/.minecraft i.e. Home > .minecraft folder that is hidden. After that I checked the content inside the folder. The content that looks valid and need a change was only launcher_profiles.json. Continue Reading

[HOWTO] Open IPv6 IP addresses in browser

IPv4 has been a big success but due to the increase in the number of users in the current context of the world, the number of IP are getting lower and lower. And the temporary solution to it was Routers and switches that help create local network and distribute local IP’s. But with the IPv6, now every grain of sand in the world can get a unique IP address.

But opening the IP directly from browser is quiet different. Previously, on IPv4 we used to open http://127.0.0.1/, http://192.168.1.1/ and something like that. But with the technology of Ipv6 we cannot open the IP directly like: http://ipv6/ rather you need to keep the IPv6 inside a [Big Bracket].

For http://localhost/ to be IPv6, you can use as: http://[::1]/ OR http://[::]/

Similarly, you can open Google’s IPv6 by pinging ipv6.google.com

NOTE: If you get the IPv6 address from your Router but you cannot ping the ipv6.google.com then it doesn’t mean you are having the problem. Because your ISP(Internet Service Provider) is not providing any IPv6 service yet. In case of my country Nepal, my Router with ADSL2+ supports IPv6 for my local computer but Nepal Telecom hasn’t released IPv6 to the customer. According to some research, they have successfully installed the IPv6 system for testing purpose.

Welcome to the new world.

[SOLVED][HOWTO][DOWNLOAD] Perfectly working copy of phpwebsocket

Hi,

phpwebsocket(websocket.class.php) is a HTML5 WebSocket server that enables user to directly connect to the socket from the browser. It is specially designed for the PHP server as the script is a PHP script and client can be any website with a browser. I was just having some research on it and got loads of error. Different errors I got are:

1) First I got the error as the client(My browser) could not connect to the server because of handshaking thing. And I sorted the reason that the newer version of Browser have only one Secret key sent to the server so, I removed two keys and only implemented 1 key. Then I got the key to $key. As from the wiki, the returning secret “Sec-WebSocket-Accept” was the sha1($key.”258EAFA5-E914-47DA-95CA-C5AB0DC85B11″) and base64 encode of it. Its a “.(dot)” not the “,(comma)”. And returned by writing to the socket as socket_write.

2) Next my brain couldn’t worked when the message received was just unwanted. And I searched all along and was messed up with some framing thing. I was lazy finding that. So, I just copied from some source for some kind of decryption thing.

3) Similarly, I did something for sending the message by the encryption thing. And I finally made the class work.

I will be happy to share my part of work and hope it will work on your system. You can copy and do anything with the code. You can research on each function changes that I have done.

[HOW TO] Get/Change Digital Point Forum password signed in from Facebook

I am a regular user to Digital Point and used to get signed through Facebook. According to policy of forum, we need to change the password in every 180 days(around). As I got signed through signed in via Facebook, I didn’t had any password that I required. So to change the password was impossible as a blank password wouldn’t work. You may also have been facing the same problem trying to find the solution.

So, you can try some simple steps. Just get logged out of Digital Point Forum and Click the Login button. After that you find a login form, where you can find the Reset link. Just click and fill out the email ID of your Facebook account that is linked to Forum. Open your mail, you get a message about reset for password. Now Open the link and again you get another mail regarding password. Now you can easily enjoy direct login via Facebook.

If you would like to change the password that has been reseted by Forum, you can go to your control panel and just change it in a usual way as you already got a FB password. From the second time, you do not need to reset for password as you already got a password and you can change the password in easy way.

Have fun
