[SOLVED] Your Internet security settings prevented one or more files from being opened

[UPDATE] A youtube video that worked

Hi friends, I had installed an anonymous software which changed the setting of my PC. So that I start getting the following error while running any application or installing any driver on windows 7:

The files can’t be opened
Your Internet security settings prevented one or more files from being opened.

I search for the internet for the solution but couldn’t get any help. Though I tried different solutions, it was unable to work for me. After that I tried to system restore but unfortunately I didn’t had any restore point nearby date. So I had a great problem with my PC.

I then inserted a new USB device and the same dialog box appeared then I thought that I will never had any new device installed on my PC. But I have thought of a solution for the Devices to get installed while those error shows. What you do is to follow a silly process.

Restart your PC while inserting the device on your PC. Then boot the system, the device will be automatically be installed. That’s just a simple trick that may help you.

But the process doesn’t work with the applications. I had winrar installed and I cannot directly extract the file by right clicking the file and extract the desired files. But I can open the file and extract the file.

But for the applications to run you can open “cmd” and then go to the location/folder path and run the desired file easily.

Hope this solution worked for you.

[SOLVED] Could not open website on Internet Explorer

Hi friends, I had Internet explorer 6 on my Windows XP and it went on some problem like Not opening any website. I tried to open the local server, via direct IP, but they didn’t helped me out. Then I upgraded to higher version of Internet explorer 9. Then I thought that could work but same problem occurred again. When I try to ping and website/IP they easily ping and the response time were good.

ping google.com

The response time was 70ms – 80ms. Then I searched for the solution, but didn’t got on the web. There where solutions but didn’t matched my requirements. After that I didn’t thought of trying different browser. So I just tried to connect “ftp” via IE, but no luck. But when I tried to use ftp via “explorer”, that seemed to open. So I tried to open website via “explorer”, it opened successfully.

So the final solution is:

  1. Goto RUN> type “explorer”.
  2. Then type your website on the same explorer where your folders are being viewed.

If you have any problem regarding this, please do ask me. The above solution might seem to be easy, but that might be the ultimate solution if you want to continue the same browser.
